Friday Favorites

FRI-YAY!! This week just plain flew by. I started my role officially Monday and it's really took the reins on my life this week. But this is a hump that I have to get over. I'm just ready for a couple days of FUN!

Here are some things that brought a smile to my face this week...

ONE

In my quest to eating less junk I've worked on transitioning from cereal to a breakfast that has vegetables, fruits, and protein. I've been making some version of this breakfast all week and let me tell ya it's delicious!

Raspberries, grape tomatoes with salt and pepper, and scrambled eggs over half an avocado with hot sauce. Not picture my big mug of steaming hot coffee. Ahh...is it just me or do you look forward to your coffee? As I type this I'm already getting excited for my coffee in the morning. Can you say addicted?

What do y'all eat for a healthy breakfast? I would love some ideas!

TWO

Fall is truly here. Usually the Carolinas stay pretty warm but with the yucky Joaquin bringing in tons and tons and tons of rain this past week the temperatures have really cooled down. I've had to break out some of my fall clothes.

I know a lot of my southerner readers are probably shaking in their booties seeing me wear white jeans in September but I'm here to tell ya I don't follow that rule. I dressed it up with an orange flannel I love and booties as well. My shirt is from Old Navy and my pants are from Nordstrom. Both are on sale!

Also, my love for fall escalated when I picked these 2 beauties up from Bath and Body Works last weekend. I keep one at home and bring one to work in my gym bag. They are fall in a bottle.

THREE

I got the sweetest note in the mail after work yesterday. I've mentioned before that my Grandma is one of my favorite people in the whole world. Her thoughtfulness of sending me a note and a gift for my trip touched me so much. She is so sweet for thinking of me. I love you, Gma! You inspire me to be more intentional with thoughtful gestures.

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to see more of this beautiful world. To catch up on my traveling journey check here and here.

FOUR

At night when I'm hanging out or watching tv I scroll through Pinterest. I hit the quote jackpot this week. I've spoken about it before here but words have such impact on me. They provide so much encouragement and comfort. Here are some of my favorites this week...

FIVE

I've made no qualms about it...I'm a huge Clemson fan through and through. I left a piece of my heart at my alma mater and I cannot wait to return. This weekend is one of our biggest games of the season...8 pm Saturday night we're playing Notre Dame. College Gameday will be there, which makes it an even bigger game!

I can't believe this was 4 years ago my freshman year. Some of my best college memories are spent at Death Valley Stadium.

GO TIGERS!!!

Tailgating is serious business in southern college football so that'll make up the majority of my weekend. I can't wait to see my Tigers whoop up on some Leprechauns ;) I hope y'all have a great weekend! Love you all, xoxo!

  6. Lately I've been finding so much peace and calming in words - whether they are from Pinterest, Instagram accounts, or this Live with Intention box my friend gave me (it holds 21 happiness quote cards)!

  7. The breakfast looks amazing! I have some great healthy recipes on my blog if you are interested: www.thesweetlifediaryofahealthnut.blogspot.com . I will be moving to the Carolinas after I finish up grad school here in Indiana. I was wondering what some of your favorite places in the Carolinas?

    1. Oooh I'll have to check that out, Tori! Thanks for letting me know :) Ahhh the Carolinas have my heart so I'm not sure where to start! Where are you moving? I was born in Raleigh, NC, grew up outside of Columbia, SC, went to college in Clemson, SC (the upstate), and now live in Charlotte, NC so I'm pretty well-traveled with the Carolinas. I would love to give you some ideas!!!
