Friday Favorites

Hi friends! Happy Friday and happy (almost) Halloween! I'm excited for Halloween for the first time in my adult life... I'm going to be...

Eek I'm so excited! I have this awesome jumpsuit that I can't wait to wear. My girlfriends and I are getting ready together. It's going to be so much fun!

Well, here are some of my favorites this week!

ONE

I can't not mention the fabulous trip I just returned from...Belgium and Spain took my breath away. I can't wait to post about it and to share my photos with you! Here are a few sneak peaks...

Ahhhh...I'm a lucky girl.

TWO

I'm still loving my black jeans and converse look. It's one of my go-to casual looks. On this day, I added an oversize shirt from Old Navy. Cute and comfy...win/win.

THREE

Is it weird to have a person as one of my favorites? Well, it is what it is :) My roommate is a favorite of mine today and everyday! I feel really lucky to have found such a perfect roommate match especially since we met online!

We have so much fun together and its so nice to come home after work to an awesome living situation.

Love you, roomie!!

FOUR

I'm loving this song this week. I mainly listen to rap music so this pop song was a change of pace! It's a great song to workout to!

FIVE

A sweet reader, Molly, from Teza Technologies reached out to me a couple weeks ago about showcasing their mission to empower women to pursue careers in STEM. This is so close to my heart because I have such a passion for empowering women and women's rights. As a woman in a predominantly male field, I love to see companies take a stance to encourage women to step out of the stereotypes.

Currently, 36 percent of students that declare a major within the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields do not obtain a degree within these fields. Misha Malyshev, CEO of Teza Technologies works with nonprofits to curb that number. International Day of the Girl is a great time to celebrate the women in this field, and every field, and recognize the opportunities allowed to girls.

Makes my heart smile. Well everyone, have a great weekend and a happy Halloween! See you back here Monday...oh yeah, and GO TIGERS! xoxox

Hello, hello, I'm so happy to be back with y'all! My trip was an absolute whirlwind that provided so many new memories and experiences. It was so good for the soul but I missed all of you! Next week, I'm going to recap my trip once I get the chance to gather my thoughts and my hundreds of photos.

For today's post I'm back to show y'all what I'm pinning this week for What's Hap-pinning!

These cookies are really challenging for my diet....seriously. Gooey, chocolatey, and Oreos, my heaven.

These DIY painted pumpkins are so cute! I love that it looks pretty simple and it doesn't require cutting. I hate having to cut pumpkins because they get gross so quickly. I might have to do this...

I'm hoping to entertain at my apartment soon and this would be an amazing starter. My mouth is watering just looking at the picture! It screams fall as well.

I love this look. So light and airy. I love a fresh, natural, face.

I'm really into this look. For some reason I'm in a modern, all black, phase right now. Maybe the Europeans rubbed of on me??

This makes me giddy for the holiday season! EEK!

Post Grad Travels: What Clothes I'm Packing

Happy Monday! Mondays are a little bit sweeter when I have a 4 day week ending in me flying over to Belgium. T-minus 4 days till I'm on vacation! I hope that y'all had a great weekend.

Today I'm talking about what I'm packing for my trip. The weather in Belgium is supposed to be rainy and cold most days but Spain will be about 10 degrees cooler. So my goal is to pack pieces that I can mix and match and layer.

If you missed my trip announcement or my trip logistic tips, you should check them out! Here are pieces that I am actually packing with me. Of course, I haven't fully decided what I'm bringing so I'll have a few more pieces that I'm bringing as well.

TOPS

For tops, I want comfortable tops that travel well. I don't want to worry about ironing. Plaid button downs are my go to because they are comfortable, warm, and easily layered.

Bottoms

For bottoms I'm leaning towards leggings because they can make an outfit more sophisticated looking if done correctly and let's be real they are good eating pants...I am going to the home of Belgian waffles after all.

Outerwear

Outerwear is crucial for this trip because it'll be chilly and overcast so I want to have plenty of layers for warmth without looking awful. I know some of my items might not seem that practical but I don't want to look back at the photos from my trip and look like a bum!

Random

I am obsessed with my converses. They are cute, comfortable, and good walking shoes.

This scarf is going to definitely come in handy at night when it cools down even more.

I'm obsessed with this jumper. How cute would it be for going out to eat at night with my plaid jacket? I needed at least one fun piece!

Alright y'all, I would love to hear any suggestions you have for what clothes I should pack! I am a terrible packer so packing tips are appreciated. See you back here Wednesday! xoxo
