San Diego Part 2

For part 2 of my San Diego trip we visited La Jolla and explored downtown San Diego. If you missed part 1 of my trip, it covers my view from my hotel and my visit to the San Diego zoo. Check it out!

My friend who lives in San Diego recommended that we visit La Jolla. La Jolla is a beautiful, beach town right outside of San Diego. We started the day by walking around looking at the beach.

Then we walked through the streets alongside the beach to look at all of the beautiful homes.

We accidentally came across the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, UC San Diego. It is absolutely beautiful. No doubt why people want to attend!

The view from campus...not bad, not bad.

That afternoon we enjoyed a delicious lunch and froyo followed by a Kayak tour in the ocean. We had the opportunity to kayak back to the cliffs, learn more about the area, go in a cave, and see Sea Lions! Unfortunately, it was not advised to bring cameras or phones on the tour so I don't have any pictures :(

La Jolla was fabulous. It is so quintessential California...good food, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful beaches, and extravagant houses. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to visit!

    1. The Pacific Ocean was COLD. Growing up on the east coast, I was so thrown off!
