Pure Joy

Okay, I know this post is not going to be entertaining for most people but this blog is a way to remember this transition period in my life. I want to remember this day for the rest of my life!

On Monday, I asked y'all to pray for me. Honestly, I didn't want to go into detail much more than that because I was worried about failure. Monday morning was my Series 7 retake and the last chance (I had 2 chances) to secure my job.

I've been studying so much. Pretty much when I wasn't sleeping or working, I was studying. It took over my life. But my hand work paid off. I passed my exam!! Pure joy is an absolute understatement. I have officially secured my job so I feel at peace with being in Charlotte and especially that I'm in the right industry.

Thank you to my friends and family for their support and prayers! I really learned a valuable lesson from this situation. I learned patience and God's timing.

God let me fail, but he didn't let me fall. He knew the plan all along. He just wanted me to trust him and his timing. He knew I wasn't prepared enough the first time to do my job and now I am...because of him.

I just want to end on this. Elevation Worship from my church has a great song that really has resonated with me lately, "...overflow in this place, fill our hearts with your love, your love surrounds us..." I feel God everyday in my mind and in my heart. His love truly does surround us. I'm so grateful that last fall I was pulled to go to church. I was pulled to seek the peace that only comes from having a relationship with God.

Thank you so much for your prayers, love, and support. See you back here on Friday for my favorites! xoxo
